Common commercial roofing systems we work with

This system has been in use in the U.S. for over 100 years. It is commonly referred to as a ”Tar and Gravel” roof. These roofs are composed of layers of asphalt paper and moped down hot liquid tar, which is why it is called a “built-up roof.” The paper is layered in a crisscross pattern and depending on the contractor, as many as 12 layers of paper and tar can be used during the commercial roof installation.

The majority of modern metal roofs are made from corrugated galvanized steel; a steel sheet coated with zinc. Copper, aluminum, stainless steel, and tin are also used in commercial metal roof applications. Coatings can be applied to provide additional waterproofing, anti-rust, and UV protection.

Whether you’re doing a small commercial roof retrofit project or a complete renovation, We also know that metal retrofit systems may carry a higher initial cost, but when the total life-cycle cost is considered, retrofitting is the lowest cost alternative. The concept can be applied to almost any flat roof, and low-slope or high-slope configurations are possible. In essence, a steel framework is erected over the existing roof.

Single-Ply Membranes are sheets of rubber and other synthetics that can be ballasted, mechanically fastened, or chemically adhered to insulation creating a layer of protection on your commercial facility. There are 2 main commercial roof types of single-ply membrane roofing, Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) and Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM).
